About Us

Kids Help Inc. is a remarkable initiative founded by Ernice L. Elie-Sturrup in April 2024, inspired by her deeply personal experience as a NICU parent. After her son, Jaylen Sturrup, was born on April 15, 2024, and faced serious medical complications that required advanced care, Mrs. Elie-Sturrup gained profound insight into the challenges NICU families endure.

Jaylen's early days were fraught with uncertainty as he was medevacked for Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn and a possible seizure, leading to a critical 72-hour cooling period for Hypothermia Therapy. Despite the dire prognosis and the unknown cause of his condition, Jaylen’s resilience and eventual recovery were nothing short of miraculous.

This harrowing experience galvanized Mrs. Elie-Sturrup to channel her newfound empathy and compassion into helping others. Guided by a sense of divine purpose, she founded Kids Help Inc.to support NICU families through their own trials. A key component of this initiative is "Jaylen’s Closet," a special project designed to provide essential items and emotional support to families navigating the NICU journey.
